Philomena, Managing Director of Watton Recruitment has now officially taken over from Jennie Bayliss of Office Wings as President of Bedfordshire Business Women for 2017. Philomena is so excited to be voted into this role and is relishing the challenge to grow this fantastic networking group over the coming year.

The team at Watton Recruitment have got behind two great charities to help the homeless and families struggling in Bedford to feel some Christmas cheer.

We became the drop off point for Bedford for the Emmaus Village Carlton rucksack appeal and also put together a fantastic hamper for FACES, a local children’s charity.

A huge thank you needs to be sent to our clients and candidates for their wonderful donations to these worthy causes. We aim to do the same next year.

Due to the growth of the business, Watton Recruitment had the opportunity to occupy the prestigious offices at our current location, Viking Self Storage Business Centre. We are so pleased with our new offices and love the bright and welcoming wall, complete with our motto.

Another awards ceremony – the Bedfordshire Business Awards –  followed on from the East of England awards, with nominations in two categories – Best Place to Work and Community Business of the Year. Watton Recruitment were shortlisted for Best Place to Work and attended the awards final held at Bedford Corn Exchange. Even though they didn’t win, coming runner up from all the entries was an amazing feeling. Philomena thanks her staff for making it a fun filled place to work and stresses it isn’t just down to the name above the door!

Watton Recruitment were overwhelmed with their recent win at the East of England Business Champions Small Business Awards held at Venue 360 on 25^th October. Watton Recruitment were nominated for the Best Customer Service category and won by public vote. What an achievement! Thank you to everyone who voted for us.
