Objective: To deliver a profitable business with a consistent delivery of quality service through effective management and operations

 

 

Main Duties:

 

To motivate and encourage the team to ensure high standards of front of house, food and service at all times for our customers

 

To promote teamwork through goal setting and regular training including appraisals

 

Deal with complaints and niggles, ensuring the business objectives are at the forefront of the outcome

 

Swiftly deal with matters arising on shift by providing suitable decision making to get the best outcome for the business and the guest.

 

Organise the delegation and preparation for all functions, working closely with the Events

 

Coordinator, kitchen and other departments and deliver events to the best standards.

 

Focus on the Food and Beverage side of the hotel and make sure this is lead with example.

 

Responsible for menu development and special events working alongside the Head Chef and rest of the team

 

Ensuring effective rota management for the business each week, ensuring we are not under or over staffed each day.

 

Ensuring staff on the day leave early if not required.

 

Ensure hotel maintenance is on track, through liaising with maintenance person and actioning from feedback on emails, TripAdvisor and Facebook reviews

 

Account management – look after key accounts by regularly checking in and dealing with their

requests timely

 

Identify business opportunities and challenges, effectively communicating to events once a sale has been obtained.

 

Engage on social media through the likes of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn to gain likes, followers and awareness.

 

Share blogs as supplied by Creative Marketing Answer social media messages swiftly and effectively

 

Confidently show guests/new clients around the hotel. Being familiar with room capacities and current pricing and menus.

 

Ensure enquiries are followed up by the team in a timely manner

 

Be on call with other members of management to cover hotel emergencies.

 

Adjust rates on Hotel Executive as per the tracker process. Tracking competitors and ensuring maximum rates at key times such as Festivals.

 

Security of all monies (including daily banking, petty cash and float) during your shift

 

Remaining up to date on current health and safety legislation

 

Acting upon reports of any accident or hazard as per the Health and safety policy

 

To attend training sessions as and when required

 

As a fire Marshall: To be aware and fully understand your departmental fire action plan, and the hotel fire plan

 

Cover reception as and when required

 

Salary : £28,000 – £35,000 per Annum
