Our client is a dynamic and fast moving CE accessories manufacturer and distributor. They supply innovative, consumer electronic accessories to most of the major UK DIY and FMCG’s.  With a head office in Bedford, they have invested extensively in its own manufacturing and logistics facilities in China and offices in Hong Kong.  Our client is offering a great opportunity for an experienced administrative assistant to work as Purchasing Administrator in the Purchasing/Supply Chain Department to provide general administrative assistance and liaison with Far East suppliers.

Role responsibilities:

  • Liaising with UK suppliers on stock availability, delivery times, purchase order queries, payment queries, packaging and artwork queries, returns etc.
  • To assist in preparing, inputting and raising of all purchase orders, ensuring cost prices and MOQ’s are correct (obtain and confirm prices, delivery lead times, chasing) and booking-in of goods onto the system once received
  • To maintain accurate and up to date filing
  • Arrange returns with UK suppliers, chasing for collection dates and credit notes.
  • It is compulsory to participate in the annual stock take (last weekend of March/beginning of April


  • Previous administrative experience (at least two years)
  • Highly numerate
  • Computer literate specifically Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Methodical, organised & multi-tasking
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Deals well with pressure, meeting deadlines and problem-solving
  • Hard working, self-motivating & able to work on own initiative
