Purchasing Buyer

Role Purpose :

To manage the purchasing / procurement of materials needed by the company to run its business enabling the materials function to meet its goals and objectives. Supplier contract reviews and price negotiations.

Role Dimensions :

  • To deploy the appropriate business processes in the supporting of the Companies manufacturing and its customers needs
  • Working as part of the Supply Chain team reporting to the European Director

Key Accountability :

  • Purchasing orders:  To raise purchase orders in a timely manor and ensure timely delivery of the goods ordered through measurement that supports the needs of the business
  • Purchasing Strategy:  To deploy the Companies global purchasing strategy ensuring cost effective purchasing at the Companies UK facility.
  • Raw Material Inventory: To measure and control the appropriate levels of raw material inventory through the use of stock control methods such as kanbans.
  • Continuous Improvement:  To work on improvement projects that will benefit both the employees of the Company and the Company as a business.
  • Reporting: To ensure that periodic reports are supplied to the management team in a timely and concise manner.
  • Support of Other Roles: To offer support to other roles once suitable training has been offered and where time allows.

 

Location: MK41 0HT 

Salary: up to £33,000k per Annum
