Garment Handler

Job Purpose

To support the efficient processing of workwear garments through industrial laundering and finishing operations. The role involves operating machinery, handling garments safely and efficiently, and preparing items for dispatch while maintaining quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial laundry and finishing machinery safely and effectively.
• Load and unload industrial washing and drying equipment.
• Sort garments according to type, colour, and processing requirements.
• Fold, pack, and prepare cleaned workwear for distribution and delivery.
• Inspect garments for damage, stains, or quality issues and report concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the work area.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines.
• Meet productivity and quality targets within a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with stock movement and handling of laundry bags, cages, and trolleys.
• Work collaboratively with team members across shift patterns.

Working Hours

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern:

• Early Shift:  6:00am – 2:00pm
• Late Shift:  12:00pm – 8.00pm

Employees will alternate between early and late shifts on an every-other-week basis.
